How BuzzSaw updates the data

We update the global master file and individual market datasets quarterly.

As well as adding new records to our dataset we also regularly update the personal information of the existing records and append new fields / flags to these records as they are collected.

Our data maintenance team are constantly running data collection campaigns in each of our global regions to update each countries master file regularly.

The volume of new records added in each region can vary dependent on the following:

  • Number of data collection campaigns.
  • Size of data collection campaigns ie: nationwide, city specific, genre etc.
  • Consumer take-up of campaigns.

As well as adding new records to our dataset, we also update the personal information of the existing records and append new fields / flags to these records as they are they are collected.

Responsive dates are also updated by analysis of marketing campaigns both internally and via our customers.

In terms of data quality, our databases are washed monthly against the relevant national Do Not Call registers and our emails are washed prior to client delivery to ensure optimal delivery rates.

Mobile numbers are also pinged prior to client delivery.
We also run our addresses monthly against national change of address registers in each market.

Each year we also engage with third party government sites we source data from to verify sections of our datasets where applicable.

Does Buzzsaw Media sell or lease data?

Buzzsaw does not sell data. Data is provided to our clients for multi-use, within a limited set of criteria and a set timeframe. We utilise the data through our own release channels for EDM & SMS and provide the same for use in social channels through our partners at Eyeota. We also provide data formatted to specific call systems for external Telemarketing and Direct Mail agencies. 

We will provide unencrypted data directly to a client if telemarketing is required or if Client is sending their own emails, most of the time marketing activities such as Email or SMS are undertaken by us directly on behalf of our clients or piped directly through to the point of deployment. All data is seeded for monitoring and quality assurance purposes. 

Our data is verified routinely and updated to maintain accuracy, to remain compliant with Australian privacy laws and to ensure effectiveness. We provide a limited 95% accuracy guarantee on all telemarketing data. 

Yes, all our data is collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 2024 and other Australian regulations, including SPAM and DNCR acts, ensuring full compliance.
